A Look into the Past..

Hi Everyone..   For some time now, I’ve been looking through the designs that I had created in the past, just get back into the mind set and the mood to create more.  Here are a few designs ( more like doodles actually) that I would like to share with you.

The first one is based on the ancient rock art.  The one next to that is based on Mehendi or Henna designs with a floral base. The third one is based on the Red Indian symbols.

And last but not the least, Ganesha (the Hindu Deity believed to be the remover of Obstacles and the Lord of beginnings) for Good Luck.  :)

I would appreciate your comments on the designs.  Catch you soon with my next post..

On My Journey Towards Finding Inspiration Again…

A few days ago, while surfing the Internet, I came across this inspiring quote by Marianne Williamson, from her book, A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

These lines actually sum up the reason for which I decided to take the time to rediscover my passion for the Arts and Crafts after a long break.

I quit my day job recently with this colossal, though not so uncommon intention to finally “Let my own light shine”.  :)

Hello, I am Priya from India and welcome to my new blog, which I am hoping is going to chronicle my journey exploring and experimenting my creativity till I find my inspiration again.
